Default Mina Exhaust

I had a problem with mine and he was real nonchalant. I volunteer to buy another one but he was going to charge me $975 saying that his cost and he was doing me a favor. I thought about it and I was was like hell no. I felt he was taking advantage of me on second muffler exhaust. Then I realized before I bought it he said it was lifetime warranty and looked on website and it says lifetime warranty. I have 35k on muffler. The sound was sounding like a metal factory coming from rear!
I went to 4 people that wouldn’t touch it. Finally my exhaust guy took the system down and found huge cracks and tears so he welded it back for me $100.

Cracks

Welded and fixed

Looks like something hit and damaged it, not a defect. If he offered to give you a massive discount on another one, that’s quite generous and in line with my experiences with him over the years, standing behind his product and offering discounts for replacements. Many members here have done business with Chris, owner of Mina, and had good experiences including LA locals.

I have had the Mina same back box nstalled on a 2012 XK NA and a 2013 XKR since 2014 with no problems. I have bought other items from Kris at Mina and always found him to be honest and upright. He stands behind his offerings.

I’d you purchased it brand new at full price with all those dents and scrapes then you shouldn’t have fitted it to your car and returned it to Chris instead for an exchange. I’ve seen his mufflers in person and they’re bright, shiny and smooth. However sometimes bad welds and seams happen and can separate but according what I see in your pics it’s definitely sustained some sort of trauma which may have contributed to the seam splitting.

If you’ve evidence to the contrary then please share. My only concern is statements directed at someone, anyone, based on factual misrepresentation.

No that’s a before pic. The second pic a welder fixing the inside and out side. He told me it’s cheap metal with cheap fiber glass inside.

I have full text message from Chris. I have his cell. Hell I stay in Los Angeles. I bought mine at his place in Reseda Cali.
ive bought more stuff from him then any member. I have a 2011 jaguar XjL that I’ve bought stuff. That’s why I was so pissed. I threatened to air this on forum because his service. Send me your email. I will send text. He wanted to charge me for another exhaust. Wow. I wish I could make this shht up. I couldn’t believe it. He also owes me a intake pipe for Jaguar because he sold me device with out a bung on it. I had to drive 45min to his shop to return. I’m done with him. I have my own business also and I wouldn’t treat a customer like that.
