Really not the forum for politics or hate.
A person could retort with TLC........ Trump Lies Constantly. Not a phrase, sentence nor sentence fragment escapes the mouth of Trump without at least 75% falsehood. Trump thinks, "if I say it, that makes it true". It really doesn't.

Of course; and I sincerely apologize for offending you and anyone else. I intended no hatred, and was just poking fun because my twisted sense of humor saw that I could use all of u102768's words that way.

P.S. If you can't make fun of yourself, you have no right to make fun of others

Our cars are much simpler to understand - and lots more fun - than today's politics anyway!

It's all good, Stewart, I just didn't want politics to take over the thread.
Back to batteries!
My F150 battery system sucks. Be glad ours aren't as bad. I drive that quite a bit more than the Jag, and the battery in it keeps getting lower and lower every trip. I have a second CTEK for that, and also a Battery Disconnecter that disconnects the positive lead when battery voltage gets below 12.3 volts or somewhere near that. It retains enough power to start, anyway. It's saved my butts on numerous occasions.

I have read this before and I don't know that I buy it, looking through the service documentation I cannot find any reference to routing the external charge though BMS for purposes of monitoring, if there is a document then I will stand corrected. The manual does specifically call for never attaching the negative cable to the battery for Jump Start purposes. But this is the procedure in all jump starts, regardless of car or BMS, to avoid exploding the battery.

Does it still monitor when the car has entered the Deep Sleep? BMW also uses a smart monitor system, I find it annoying as the batteries in these cars (BMW included) don't last very long in most instances and require external assistance. Doesn't seem all that smart to me!!!

Funny, isn’t it? BMS is supposed to make extra long lasting extra expensive AGM batteries last even longer what the manufacturer states yet my 2015 is on battery #4 AND BMS module number 2 not working including multiple ECO battery replacements. Keeping it Jaguar, the SuperV8 and 2008 XKR had original non-AGM batteries that lasted 6+ years without CTEK and without BMS. Maybe a class action is in order for misrepresentation....

My 2010 is on battery number two, I replaced the original Jaguar battery about three/four years ago when it finally gasped its last breath. I may be in for a replacement in the next 2/3 years, but I did get a good AGM so maybe it'll go awhile longer?

Yep. I'm on the original water pump at 68,000 miles. None of the coolant lines have burst, except for the one by the filter cap that I smashed my own self cuz 'stupid'. Supercharger isolator is 'quiet', alternator is original, power steering original, oh, whatever else.
Just that stupid injector and the STUPID DANG MORONIC IDIOTIC LAME CRAPPY T-P-M-S light.
Of course NOW you probably made me JINX myself.
Thanks for that.

This is from the 5 litre Techical Guide:

NOTE: When using a Jaguar-approved battery charger
or maintainer, connect the charger to the recommended
ground point to ensure that the charge flows through the
BMS module instead of the negative battery terminal.
Failure to observe this will log a diagnostic trouble code
(DTC), and incorrect battery condition information will
be retained by the BMS module due to unmonitored cur-
rent flow into the battery. However, the system will rec-
ognize and compensate for the change in the battery
status after a period of time.

I have been very pleased with this car, just 2 batteries in 4 years. I don't give it the full Prius treatment every night, just plug it up to the maintainer every week or two.

42,000 miles and original water pump (knock on wood for sure), only repairs have been compressor while under warranty and a lower coolant hose replacement out of warranty.

I look at the battery as an expendable part, cost me all of $130 and 30 minutes.
