Default Battery tender

So I was getting ready to hook up a C-Tek tender to my'08 XKR (I've been meaning to do it for weeks now) and I noticed the manual says to not charge the battery unless you take it out of the vehicle! WTF?

Anyone know anything about this? Will it fry the electronics if you put a smart tender on the posts in the back for the booster cable hookup? I'd really like to keep a trickle charger on her.

theres no reason you cant, the manual is reffering to off gassing from charging. A tender wont over charge, so it wont off gas like a regular charger does. I tell people to use these for years and I have 3 hooked up to my vehicles, the race car, the suburban and the riding lawnmower

Default Thanks Brutal!

Where exactly is the battery located? I know it's in the trunk, but is it toward the rear between the headlights or somewhere near the spart tire?

Thanks.
