I am going to have to agree with mike. I also prefer note of the quick silver. supersport version.

Any Fabspeed exhaust owners here? If so, your experience?

I sent an inquiry to Quicksilver earlier this morning. Received a qwik courteous reply with a quote for a complete system for an '08 XKR. $1680 delivered to MD.
Their model JR298S. This is pretty reasonable. I like their sound too. Fabspeed is about 90 miles north. I'm to send them an inquiry, but, need a vid of the sound as well.
Happy Trails....but not today....?

RedRider:

Did you contact Quicksilver through their website or a reseller?

TIA

I'm eding this to clarify, as I think my previous posting may be a bit confusing to some.
...based on what I just learned from Fabspeed, they offer a high quality custom polished SS system (installed) for approximately $2700. It's a cat-back with a "X" pipe with two custom muffs. They stated it makes a louder more aggressive sound. QuickSilver quoted $1680 shipped to the US.
OK, so I have to have it installed, I'm thinking it ain't going to be a grand.... Will it?
Do we need a "polished system"? A show car, OK? A driver. not for me.
Happy Motoring.....

I contacted them directly this early AM and receive a qwik reply. I asked for a re-seller, but, I don't think they have one here. The price quoted was for a full cat-back as the P/N implies.

Maybe a couple hundred at the most to install or do it your self if you have access to a lift. Everything is clamped together.

I don't have a lift, but, I have a car bud who does. If that doesn't pan out, I have a custom muff shop nearby who does excellent work.

These exhausts are all bolt on, there should be no manufacturing required.
I installed several on Porsches, even just on jacks in the garage.

Guys, I have accidentally done my own R&D on exhausts for my 11' XKR.

1) I bought Mina Gallery. Too quiet.

2) Removed one of the stock resonators but kept Mina rear muffler. Too much drone

3) Replaced the stock resonator and removed the other one. Kept Mina muffler. Still too much drone and not loud enough on throttle

4) did like another one or two combos

5) Put full stock back on cause I was contemplating R8

6) Got so busy with work and school I didn't have time to shop. Stock was too quiet so I decided to try removing resonators while keeping stock rear muffler to keep drone down. Got this idea when I was on the verge of ordering a Miltek or Spires. Then I realized those systems look stock except no resonators before the rear muffler. So I just replaced both resonators with straight pipe to the stock muffler and put on custom tips.

Sounds unreal. And I'm ****. I've heard Miltek and Quicksilver in person. Mine is nastier and drone is minimal. About the same as the others. The kicker is that its all under $300. But it cost me over $2k in iterations to get there. If you want an exhaust this is a must try first. You guys can all thank me later.

That's why I did mine, no drone at all:

This week I had the resonators removed and a cross pipe put in. My impressions are that I didn't notice the difference on start up, but then the burble on idle and at low speeds is noticeably louder. It is also a lot louder accelerating within acceptable speeds, but it doesn't so much have the "blap blap blap" noise that I liked pre-mod. It does sound wicked though, a real howl. There is no drone at all at cruising speed (110kph - about 60mph) but there is a little drone if it is in 6th at say 90kph. The drone disappears if I drop it down a gear. All told, a great result. What I wanted was quality sound at acceptable speeds, and that is what I got. The guys at Jag who organised it for me say that it sounds nearly as good as the XKR-S, I expect the slight difference is because the tail pipes are different.

They ordered it in. The parts from the invoice are :

TA225 2 1/4" Alum Tube (qty 3.5)
XP02-250S X-Pipe Twin 2 1/2" S/Steel
2 X clamps.

I just googled the part number, here is a link to it Best Mufflers Online

Well just checked that link and it only goes to the home page. Copy the part number etc for the x pipe and paste it into google or the Best Muffler online page, it should take you there.

So they were not "Jaguar" parts per say... thats fine for me as well I dont need a Jaguar stamp on anything I just want it to work and be louder as well . Can you give us any sound clips mate?

I am going back to me Jaguar dealership to get my new headlamps installed due to the condensation problem in post 2012's.....I will see what they say about installed an X-Pipe and uninstalling the 2 resonators on my Standard Active Exhaust.
