O2 sensors sense oxygen, not carbon monoxide. Try this instead:

Find and correct the misfire(s) on Bank2 prior to going any further. When DTCs P0430 or P0420 are present, the catalyst is damaged and must be replaced.

Is there a separate code for the sensor, if that fails?

I had a P0420 code that (believe it or not) was caused by a bad connections from the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold.
I got the code, checked my fuel trims and saw they were off. all I had done immediately before was try and adjust the lay of the exhaust pipe so I took off the Bank 1pipe and smoothed out a ridge at the sealing surface and reinstalled.
And the fault went away and my trims were fine again
I didnt think a leak would throw that code but it did

1. it's running with poor fuel trims, so gradually damaging the cat(s)
2. it's not going closed loop, so will run very rich, gradually damaging the cat(s)

The last time I threw these codes was when I was revving the engine like crazy (And a few brake stops and spinning and general little boy fun) Smoke, aromas of tires, exhaust, and fire red cats. That was at the Saturday night pre-party at Montreal F1, on Rue St. Catherine... Great memories and worth the expense for new cats, lol.
BTW, I now think of cats as a disposable and maintainable component... like tires, brakes, bushings,...
