Bluetooth
Every since I purchased my car the Bluetooth in my car is useless. The quality of the incoming calls can be between horrible to acceptable and the person on the either end always seems to have problems hearing me. I thought after changing to an iphone 6 it might improve, but no such luck. I have read of owners who have no issues and others who experience the same thing. I have 2010XK and I'm planning on just disconnected the Bluetooth because of it's inferior quality. I've brought it into Jaguar a number of times last year and got "it's working fine". Is there any kind of software update? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks all.

"Lexus treatment" is what convinced me to get rid of my 2007 LS460, which I bought new. Way too many recalls and TSBs. The last straw was padding the number of hours to do an out-of-warranty billable airbag main wiring harness replacement. Billed for 16 hours but the TSB indicated only 9. I got a refund and got rid of Lexus.
So far, I'm much happier with Jaguar. No Bluetooth phone issues with either my XKR or XJ. Love the Bluetooth music connectivity with my Galaxy S3 in my XJ; wish my XKR had it, too. I'll just live with my iPod in the XKR.

"Obviously" Apple will test with cars such as Jaguars... you'd hope... but apparently not.

I have a blackberry and it's always worked fine with my '06 XJ, but my '07 XK won't even register, can't sync. I thought I'd just trade up to an Apple 6 to make sure I got linkage with both cars, but when I asked at the dealership they said Apple's up to 5 sync well, but the linkages with 6's don't work well with any Jags.
Of course I had to rent a car a couple weeks ago and got a Toyota Corrolla and the blackberry and my iPad linked up easily and immediately.

My last 4 Jags BT worked perfectly with Galaxy S3, S4 and now with the Note 4. Excellent sound quality on both ends, rivaling a land line. The only BT issue I had was with my 2005 XK that would not download the phone book, while doing fine with calls.
The only issue I had for quite awhile was that when I connected my Galaxies to the Jaguars AND at the same time tried to use Google navigation voice guidance, it sometimes worked, sometimes the voice guidance fell silent. No one could help me figure that one out until my new Note 4 gave me a clue that solved it. Under the phone's BT settings, select Jaguar and unclick the "Media audio" option while it is paired to the car. Leaving the default check mark in the box suggests to the phone that a BT earpiece is being used and because of that, it will turn off the external phone speakers, thus no voice guidance from the phone. Now voice instructions are working flawlessly while being paired with the car.
