Bluetooth woes
I am having issue with the Bluetooth set up on my 2007 XKR.
I click phone on the touch screen and it takes me to a screen that says no phone found would you like to search for a new phone.
The only Option is a "yes"button which I press but nothing happens.
I had my iPhone 6s Plus out and was on the discovery screen but it never showed up.
I am guessing maybe the Bluetooth module is bad but I wanted to explore any other options before having it replaced.
Any way to reset that system ? The car did have a dead battery which had been replaced. I had to reset a few different systems to get everything working correctly.
Thoughts ? Suggestions ? Help ?

More than likely it is that your blue tooth module is not compatible with your newer phone OS. I had that issue with my Droid thus replaced the module to a newer model. There are several posts about that very issue. In the end it cost me @$140 for the newer module and I sold the old one for probably $100 everything works perfectly now plus I get the signal strength showing where it didn't before.

I just had a splash screen about iOS 10 being available.
I'm still sitting on iOS 7.1.2, because I kept reading about compatibility issues, and I had no desire to lose my Bluetooth connectivity.
More and more apps are no longer functional on that old release, so that is becoming a pain, and may have to update at some point.

See the first picture in the first posting in that thread.
The problem was solved with a replacement bluetooth module.
