I recently purchased a clean low mileage 2015 XK. However, the calipers have a little surface rust. Do you recommend painting them or putting covers on? Either way, specific recommendations will be appreciated.
Can of brake cleaner, can of caliper paint and a brush. I do them on the car and really only care (mostly) about the visible part. Hardest part is having to take all the wheels off.

Those who know me won't be surprised but when I was 16, in the wee hours of the morning, on a dirt road in the boondocks, I got my first flat tire on my 64 Impala. With a car full of fellow idiots, none of us could get the spare on. A passer by who was closer to 19 and coming from the same party, er um "barn dance" looked at me, flipped the wheel around slapped it on and said "you should get home now".
I will always admit to my goofs no matter how embarrassing.
