Brake Dust Barrier product
FYI:
Last month I bought a spray product for blocking brake dust:
After one month of use and a few hand washes, I would highly recommend this product. It is made by Meguairs. When washing the car, the wheels are so easy to clean and the water just beads up like a good car wax.
Only caveat is, make sure wheels are 100% DRY, before spraying on the Meguiars Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier. This is EXTREMELY important. I suggest to wash the wheels one day and apply the product the next.
I give this product by Meguiars a 10 out 10 rating and the spray is priced at $11.23 at Amazon.
I am sure you could buy the spray locally at any auto parts store. It is well worth the money and giving it a try.
It really does work.
Hope this helps end some frustration on keeping wheels clean from brake dust.

I suggest to wash one day or early AM, then let wheels dry. Water build up is usually in the lug nut holes. Blow the water out of the lug nut holes with an air compressor.
The Meguiars Hot Rim Brake Dust Barrier product works great. I have gone through 2 hand washes so far and the wheels are very clean, with virtualy no indication of any brake dust buildup.
For $11.00 per can, it is well worth the cost. I suggest that you at least give the product one try.
Works great on hypersilver wheels or darker wheels, BUT will leave a very slight matte finish on chrome. The chrome still looks great however.
It really blocks brake dust and just overall dirt.
