Default Brake rotor recommendation

I need new rotors ( and pads) and I am looking for anything better than stock in terms of performance. Currently, my set up is all stock (XKR-S) and my rotors are glazed (hot spots) from a few driving events. Since I need to replace them, is there anything out there more performance oriented both for rotors and pads? Unfortunately, Girodisks are not available for our cars and I could only find Stoptech and EBC offering slotted rotors, but are they better then stock?

Same goes for the pads. Are EBC Yellowstuff pads a step down or up?

Thanks

I replaced my pads and rotors (both ends) with Stoptech and have been very happy with the result. I have only been to the track once but the brakes never faded and I never smelled them heating up.

Thanks for sharing. I checked and I do not see any Stoptech pads for my car.

Before Alcon caliper swap, I used Stoptech rotors and EBC yellow stuff pads. Did not make too many kms, but worked very very well. Recommended.

When shopped for rotors and pads for my 5.0L XKR several years ago, I found that R1 Concepts had great drilled and slotted rotors for our cars. And tens of thousands of miles later, they're still perfect. As I recall they were quite reasonably priced and are quite beautiful as well. And no rust after washing the car. If they still offer them for the XKR, I would certainly, highly recommend. Their customer service was also excellent.
