Default Cannot get driver's bottom seat cushion cover on!

Apparently my seat bottom cover (leather) has been replaced at some point (it does look nearly new, after all), but it's not on all the way. The long plastic clip in front is just dangling, and you can sort of see a little foam on the seat cushion bottom. It bothers me a lot!

Does anyone have some tips for getting it back on? I tried to sit on it and push it down, but that didn't work quite well as I'd hoped. Then I tried a bunch of contortionist maneuvers to try to leverage some force by pressing my back against the steering column--that didn't work either.

Is there some trick to it?

This may not help as you appear to have tried brute force already but that's exactly what it needs. Mine came adrift somehow but I managed to get it back on by grabbing the plastic strip with both hands, bending it up and pulling down hard to get enough room to get the slot clipped onto the metal frame. Maybe my seat cover had enough slack in it but I only had 10k miles on it at the time. No special tool. Sorry i cant be more helpful. Best of luck.

Ah. Well maybe I'll try getting it nice and toasty inside first. I was hoping that there was a special tool, but I guess there isn't!
