Default Car Cover recommendation

What's a good budget XK cover for parking outside in the heat and dust of Southern California summer?
Garage is full. Need to park in driveway. Still researching for a 5.0 XK or XKR Coupe.
Thanks!

You just opened up an entire barrel of worms.
Car covers tend to let dust particles inside, then the movement of the cover will grind the dust into the paint. Same with rain with both acid and alkali, both will mess with the paint.
ALSO, if the surface beneath the car holds any kind of moisture, the moisture will then percolate into the cover and be held there and mess with every part it can find. Bad mojo there.
I know a couple guys who use those balloon/inflatable car covers, but they use them inside their garages and they are not suitable for outdoors due to wind and such.
Therefore, I have no sage advice for you, other than maybe "Don't". A good protected paint treatment (waxes or ceramic) along with a very good windscreen/dash cover may be your best option.

Great advice CJ, having had a cover on my old x100 after it was resprayed I saw the damage that can be caused...it doesn't matter how scrupulously clean you think your car is.

Not helped I think that I live half a mile from the beach

I had my car professionally paait corrected, polished and ceramic coated (inc alloys) and can honestly say 18 months later that the dirt, dust, bird lime and brake dust just wash off with the rain or garden hose...well worth the investment.

I would consider a 'carcoon' type of product as my garage is full of ****.

I use a cheap Budge cover. If memory serves it cost $75 and the trade name is rain barrier. Key thing is it must breathe.
