Resurrecting this old thread made me realize that the photos of my hydrodipped carbon fiber-look engine appearance cover in Post #3, above, are missing. Here they are again. Cost was $185 including the red painted letters and Leaper logo, but that was over 7 years ago.
It has held up well, and still looks the same as these old photos.
That hydrodipping looks great! When my 2007 XKR was delivered last December, that cover was missing completely! I called searched US and UK parts places as well as junkyards - no luck. I finally called the parts department at the Jaguar dealer a few miles from my house. She said their parts database covered all US and UK Jaguar dealers. She found “the last one available anywhere” at a dealer on the US east coast. I’m in Las Vegas, Nevada. Got it this week and put it on. It may be esthetic but looks great!

Congrats on your purchase, but you didn't get "the last one available anywhere ". Ask me how I know.
