Charging the battery?

You can do a search and find how some of us have installed various hook ups. Here is mine as an example . Picture may be a little dark but you can get the idea. Ctek is mounted on the left post of my lift using velcro so I can remove it. Plug under the rear is a marine 12V socket and is hooked up through the spare tire area up to the battery. Also you can see the dual socket adapter with the volt gauge in it. I come home and put the car up on the lift and plug it in. Can't miss the coard hanging so easy to remember to unplug. If I forget then it's time to put me in "the home".

Here's what I did.
I never have to open the trunk to connect the CTEK battery maintainer.
I simply connected the eyelets of the CTEK to the small 10mm battery posts, ran the wiring into the wheel well, through the rubber grommet and ran the connection under the car and through the very bottom of the bumper. Used JB Weld epoxy to bond the connector to the bumper, which is well hidden except what you see in the photos.
Now it only takes 10 seconds or less to plug in the main unit to the CTEK connector.
If you know you need the battery maintainer, then just buy it. Why would you go thru any frustration for under $90.00 to keep the Jaguar in top battery condition?
The CTEK MUS 4.3 would be the best investment you make to maintain the Jaguar. These cars eat power and the CTEK will extend the battery life for many years +.
