Default Check out the options on the F-Type?!?

It's mind blowing.... And I feel somewhat sad for those who bought 2015's....

Because now in 2016...
1- AWD options and standard
2- better tech...I guess the new in-car app stuff when be released first in states on the 2016 F-Type as standard

Some will love and some will hate the V8 no longer being a RWD option though!! Why does a RWD V8 sound more manly then a AWD V8?!?

What this does for me is make me appreciate that despite 8 yrs of improving the XK the gist of the tech and car never really truly changed all that much!?

We all got 6 speed autos, we all got crappy tech without much choice in screen combination, and we all got cars with large trunks and useless back seats

I'm good! Will enjoy watching 2015's hit the market as the same buyers purchase 2016's!!!

Useless back seats for normal sized humans, maybe. But great for Costco bags

I would love to jump to the FTYPE now that they have a manual option. But I project I will not be able to afford used one until perhaps 2019.

Going to AWD and the V8 with a manual option sounds like the way to go. It would put the car into the Audi R8 category and I would suspect it will be a hot sports car. Being a 2 seater with minimal space it would still not meet my needs unless I somehow become single again. As to going back to a manual I think those days are pretty much over for me and if anything an 8 speed autobox would be great. So for you younger folks , have at it and enjoy it.

There is no manual option for the V8s, only the V6s!

If you end up single as a result of a divorce, chances are that as a result of your new budget, you'd be taking the bus for the rest of your life anyway.

Hahahahaha I guess it's to late for that as after being married for 46 years we couldn't afford to split. Thanks for the laugh

I've always had in the back of my mind that my next car will be a f type coupe, but having sat in a couple I was a little disappointed with the interior, which seemed to me to be a bit plasticky. Like great for a hyundai, maybe not so much for a Jag. I think I am getting old and fussy, it is very hard going backward in one aspect even if other aspects are an improvement.

Buy an XKR-S and never look back.... It looks more aggressive than a F-Type in my opinion...

Being the final evolution of the car, rare and just wicked looking should hold its value better than a new F-type IMO.

That's what I'm thinking, but at around $300K new here I'll wait until I can get one 3 years old. I just think that while the f-type is newer tech, I'll never drive it as a sports car so I'll get a harder ride and less space in a car which didnt seem to me to be as luxurious as the XKR. And I actually prefer the **** of the XK, which is important because I am an **** man.

I'll be in an F type coupe in a heartbeat when they recalibrate the rear suspension so it isn't predominately a drift car!!
