Clear bra installed

Clear bra installed
I've been avoiding driving on the highways since I purchased my car a week ago, waiting for the clear bra install. I've been using the same clear bra installer for over 10 years for all my cars. Suntek was the product used which has the self healing property and it looks great on the car without any orange peel or imperfections. I covered the front bumper and headlights. As discussed earlier, it does have seams, which I knew about which can be seen if you look for them. The tradeoff for me is maintaining a clean nose without the unsightly paint chips. The installer and Jaguar mentioned that most XKs don't get clear bras as most are leased cars with owners not wanting to pay anything extra. I have been flying on the highways today feeling secure of no major surprises at the end of my drive. Florida is loaded with construction trucks and things are always flying around. Now, I will be scheduling a Jag apt for a few odds and ends. I love this car!

Boca:
Great choice on the Suntec product vs the 3M. When I bought my 2014 Porsche Cayman 981 a few months back (August 18th, 2013) the Porsche dealer suggested and recommended the Suntec product. The only drawback for me was the estimated cost through the dealership if $1500 <>.
From my research it appears to be a major leading product. The 3M which I mentioned before did not meet my experience so it was good to read that you went with Suntec. I assume you used Auto Supershield for the install.
The Xpel Ulitimate is a relatively new product introduced in 2011 early 2012.
Now your really ready to ride.

Where did you have this done? I have a 2012 XK that I would like to have done. I live about 50 miles North of Orlando. THANKS.
<<
I'm in the same geographical area (Mt Dora area). See my post here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...r-83177/page3/
mid way down page 3 of the previous 'clear bra' thread. Guys name is Alan Seligman, and his number is on the van in the photo. I highly recommend him.
(PM me if you can't make out the contact info).
Been almost a year now, and its holding-up fine....
