Cloth headliner is sagging above driver seat 2003 XK8 coupe
2003 XK8 coupe 64,000 miles garage kept in Virginia.
The cloth headliner is sagging. The foam coating under the roof is deteriorated. Spray cloth adhesive will not stick to the foam.
Is the best place to get this kind of repair at a dealer, auto body shop, upholstery shop, or some place else?
What type material is more likely to last and not get dirty?

IMHO, once it sags, its never the same. The foam padding is often giving out and no amount of glue will keep it looking good and taut Im in the process of redoing my XJ40 with Alcantara. Work starts in 2 weeks. Alcantara is great for places that aren’t being touched or rubbed by hands, and/or clothing.
