Codes and running rough
Had a few codes come up along with the "Restricted Performance" message on my 5.0 XKR: P0054, P0300, P0301, P0303, P0307
Running lumpy and rough as anything.
It's being taken to a Jag specialist tomorrow. I just like to know what I'm going to expect. I've read a few forum posts about the Cam tensioner and guide issues. If these failed would that mean I'm looking at a new engine?
Thanks in advanced

Weird thing is though, if you have ONE fuel injector go bad, it starves fuel from the other injectors on the same bank and therefore you'd have either all odd or all even misfire codes. You have Misfire codes for cyl 1, 2 and 7. P0300 is General misfire.
The P0054 points to a bad O2 sensor, which COULD cause cylinder misfires, but maybe not.
It could be O2 sensor, plugs, coils, or like was mentioned, an injector or two.

I replaced the O2 sensor and that cleared the o2 sensor code, but the misfires are worrying me and the dodgy running if the engine

Open up your oil filler cap and take a deep smell right from the hole.... if an injector is stuck open (usually the case) there will be a distinct strong odor of unburned Petrol from too much injected into the cylinders and not burned. It bypasses the rings and ends up in the sump.

What happens when one injector is stuck open is that it dumps fuel into that one cylinder constantly. What THAT does is reduce the pressure in the high-pressure fuel rail that robs the other injectors on that rail of available fuel, so therefore basically all the fuel for that entire bank of cylinders goes into that ONE cylinder.
I had one bad injector but I had all four on that side replaced since it was like $1500 for labor to get to them. Plus parts. Plus I had a few other things done since Already in the Shop.

pauleddy,
I'm surprised you could drive it any distance. On both occasions that it happened to my car, it misfired so badly and put out so much blinding grey smoke, it was undrivable. But, a day later is was purring like a kitten again with the fuel injectors serviced. CeeJay's explanation is spot on.
