Colour Infusion

Colour Infusion
I am feeling somewhat bored with my 2010 `Vert's colour combination. It is currently a stock `Panda-Penguin-Orca` palette.
I am thinking perhaps a dark red top to start. Then either an Aqua-Marine Blue or Caribbean-Green interior.
I believe this is an example of the factory-red top...which looks good with the silver exterior.

I may also have the entire exterior painted surfaces wrapped in a different colour down the road. But for now just the top, and some interior changes would make me happy.

If your interested in a blue top, this guy is parting out a car that was very low miles, could be an affordable option for you to see if you like it without spending a lot of $$$. I know I have seen Porsche use the silver with blue top combination...

So...the experimenting has begun.

I spent that last 30 minutes sweating in the blazing sun, applying the first coat to the passenger side outer panel. I will now let it dry (for 24 hrs or so) and then cycle the roof a few times to see how it holds up. The pics show it still slightly wet just after application, so I am going to assume that it might just darken up a little bit as well.
I am still trying to imagine the visual effect once the entire roof top surface is covered. At this point I am still not sure whether I will like it or not. However it should be just as easy to return it to black.

And P.S. Q&C: It is not paint, it is being infused, but I'm sure you will say that you already knew that.

As for an update I will post it shortly. As I suspected, the colour really darkened up over-nite, almost to the point of being too dark now.
I'll post a few more pics shortly. It is simply too hot out again today to work more than about 30 minutes at a time.

That's cool Sparky take it all out on me.
I was using using levity to ring the alarms bells. to be helpful!
I did not even call it a hairdresser's color.
Or question the logic of painting over bugs.
Now that you have poured ice water on me.
Dude, its a classy car, the only thing that looks good on it is a shine.

Q&C, you are taking this way too seriously.
And speaking of hairdressers...
Have you ever seen a woman while she is getting highlights put in her hair?
It is not a very pretty process. With all the tin foil, smelly product etc.
However the end product is very satisfying.
Be patient and wait for the final results before you sully your reputation any further.
Be kind or be silent.
