The pano roof is great in the f type because the roof starts a fair way in front of you and finishes a fair way behind your head, and is also much wider than a normal sunroof. Closing it makes the cabin feel a bit claustrophobic at first.

It would have been good in the XK, but with the bigger cabin probably not necessary. You couldnt get a proper sliding sunroof into either car because of the shape of the roof.

From a guy that just bought one; I could not disagree more but this is SO subjective. My brief experience with the car and the crowd locally, along with being one of the few Jags in the mix, the car described above is not even noticed and mine is asked to park with the exotics. Even on Jag night it draws the crowd. I bought the car because I think is beautiful and it gets noticed. That said , the color is a big part of it. Thumbs up everywhere and quizzed on a regular basis "what is that!?"
That's what I wanted. And , man is it quick!

From a technical perspective the XKR-S is considerably different the regular XKR, it's not just an exhaust, tune and bodykit, there are a number of other details in the chassis which are unique to the XKR-S and gives it an edge over the XKR.

Steering knuckles
Steering rack (faster in the XKR-S)
Shocks, springs, swaybars
The XKR-S even has a different rear subframe
Etc, etc..

Then when you look at the costs for the nosecone, splitter, rear diffuser, the wing, the sum of it's parts goes a long way to explaining the premium you have to pay for an XKR-S.

It's pretty much the ultimate XK, the GT notwithstanding...

If you like it, get one. But perhaps not that one in your first post, it looks like a bit of a dog...

Yah, I know if I am getting a XK, its going to be XKR-S. Back to the one the one im looking at, I am having a family friend go check the car out. Again back the woes of wanting a XKR-S.. there is only 1 in canadian Market on sale...

Edit: A new XKR-S just got listed, its 2013. Looks to be in great shape but I still the like 2014 with the black rims. I been in contact with a sales rep, the reason the 2014 XKRS pictures are bad because they're an inventory based dealership. They have a lot of pictures to take and aren't meticulous with the cleaning . He said the interior condition is good.

Here are some ideas;
Change them.
Paint them.
Trade them.

That's good news if true. Usually the listing pics are better than the car looks in person though. You know what they say about first impressions

If it were me, and I was interested in buying the car, I would have them clean it up and send me a new batch of photographs. I would also arrange to have an independent expert to examine the mechanics, the interior and the exterior of the car. The body should be examined by somebody who knows what to look for in aluminum bodied vehicles.

I was in contact with the sales manager about the 2014 when they first listed the car several weeks ago. I got somel detailed pictures. The car is a lease return and is beat up a bit. Several deep scratches and the tires have chugs of rubber missing; however, the rims look good. The rims must have been repaired. The driver's seat is showing a lot more wear than the mileage on the car. Here are some pictures:

Oh WOW! Thats some serious wear and tear, like an inexperience driver or someone was very reckless.. I guess that's how you would treat a leased car. Its clearly been curved, that leather looks to be in terrible condition for 13,000 kms. Very concerning pictures, did you by chance test drive the car?

Thanks really appreciate your input.

Not a pretty sight and what would be more concerning to me is the dealer i showing the car in that condition. I would normally expect it to be detailed (buff out the scratches) and tires replaced and wheels repaired.

I never test drove the car. It needs 4 tires and a wheel alignment judging from the condition of the tires. The rear tires have at most 5/32 left and need replacement. The front splitter appears to be in excellent condition from the pictures I have which is odd for a car showing this amount of abuse and neglect. I'm not interested in the car. I was interested when it was first listed but the condition is not acceptable. I now have my mind on a Porsche 911 turbo S or a F-type SVR if I buy in Canada. If the Canadian dollar ever goes up I'll get something more exotic in the US.

Well here you go, less than a week and another one up for sale...and for $10K less. ($65K Can. is a very good price right now for an XKR-S.)

2013 Jaguar XK XKRS for $64,998 in Thornhill | autoTRADER.ca

And I would think there will be many more lease returns coming in as the 2018 model cars start to show at all the various dealers. Be patient.

I'm no expert but the pictures didnt look that bad - worse than you'd expect for 20,000km but probably about right for 30,000km or so. The seat looked OK, probably some fat guy owned it. It is easy to get kerb rash and knock chunks of the rubber ridge (which is there to protect the rims) - I did it myself when I had some perspective issues with a flu.

It doesnt look any worse than my XKR was when I got it at 40,00km (so about 25,000 miles) and once I clayed it and prettied it up it looked like a new car. But it should be priced accordingly, especially given you'd bank on replacing the tyres just in case.

As far as I'm concerned tires are replacement items and of little to no concern to me other than they might be symptomatic of other deeper issues, kind of like a heads up. I would also ask the seller to factor tire replacement costs into the price or out and out replace them with appropriate tires of my choice.

I read somewhere that the cf splitter itself is like $10K, but that was probably in Australia. Apparently they are prone to cracking. They look awesome, though.
