Forgot to mention I jumped in the car this morning and my 4yr old daughter who was in the back asked me why she has black thread in the rear and I've got grey ...I thought my threading nightmare was over !

I'll post pics of the headrests early tomorrow morning plus more detailed pics of what else was done. Steve I see you have the touring seats which differ from mine which is the luxury package

I think the touring pack would look unreal with stitching down the middle. The Aston do it and it looks fantastic

Center console goes pretty quickly, all said probably got @3 hours in that to complete. Here's a pic of the drivers headrest completed also a pic of the driver seat started, though not as tough as thought it may be it is VERY time consuming to do.

So far here's what I found:
Door panels were very easy/quick. Dash the same. Headrest were a little tough due to the leather being much softer and the odd contortions I had to get into to to do it. Seats will take more than all the other stuff combined! This will be no picnic but the stitching itself isn't too bad maybe because I am using a smaller, more curved needle for them don't know? I'll try to tackle one single line of stitching per day I think there's 32 if I counted right, maybe it'll get easier as I go

All this is a bit time consuming, found this vids on youtube which IMO is a quicker a looks great. Not sure about white, but other colors and red does look good and easy to do. But i suppose its non reversible which is another point, might do red myself,

Powerhouse
Unless you already have white stitching I don't think this modification will be able to be performed .
Unfortunately Leeper and myself have the standard charcoal stitch so that's why we are required to do it all by hand one stitch at a time
Funny how he mentioned it takes a while to do ....6hrs , which is rough the time it takes to do just component of our jaguar interior being just the dash !

Powerhouse - I saw that too, got excited, even purchased the marker pen to do it, then realized it only works when you have white stitching to dye.

hHre's a pic of drivers seat before then a pic of the passenger seat bottom being done.

I killed the battery once again stitching with the door open... oops! Back on Battery Tender for a day or two

If you are working with the door open, get a screwdriver and click the door latch into the closed position, two clicks, this will trick the car into thinking the door is closed and put it to sleep.

Default The subtle stitch

before and after use m20 / tex 135 size thread

Not as prominent as the thicker thread Leeper is using

Could be worse I just de-stitched 4hrs of work as I realised the thread wasn't thick enough on my seats it simply blended in

Powerhouse you could be onto something with that YouTube clip you posted how about trying Posca paint pens ? Surely it would be a lot quicker no doubt 2-4hrs to complete a whole car .

I have the white paint pen others were using, again painting (actually dying it) only works if you have white thread... you can't paint or dye black thread.

Sorry Steve that you had to restitch that area. Today I hope to make some real progress on my seats. Got a lot of time in yesterday still trying to get my passenger seat completed. Today will work or the REAL long run that goes from the middle side area all the way around to the opposite top then maybe complete my headrests for a break on the seats. Got 6 days of good weather to work in woo hoo!

Sounds like big progress has been made on your side ! Good work Leeper !

I can clearly see the sharpe Pen not working as its only ink not paint .
Gezz I would have thought the white paint pen you have might have worked

I've got 4 short and one long run to make then done! Got distracted by a lovely young lady the last few days. Weather and work won't be cooperative this week until next weekend at the soonest but I've got 1-2 days at most left then hanging up my needle and thread. Quite happy thus far with the outcome. Glad I did it, glad it's done, got some serious time invested. Pics next week
