Convertible roof not working

Convertible roof not working
I've been scouring the board looking at the many similar posts, but haven't been able to find a solution...
My roof was somewhat stuck in the closed position: the windows would drop and the hood would unlatch but that was as far as it would go. From there it would successfully return to the closed position on command.
I tried dozens of times to do the window resetting, pulling the F8 fuse from the rear seat panel, charged the battery (even though I only tried to move the roof with the engine running)... no joy.
Then I thought I'd try doing a hard reset, by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal for 10 minutes, before manually moving the roof into the open position before doing window resetting (3x each window, multiple times), to no success.
I took a video of the current state of things, and am looking for any next steps to try. The hydraulic fluid level was just under the maximum marker. Battery is fully charged. I can hear some switching going on but never any movement from the hydraulics.... apart from this video, where the pressure does seem to go out of the hydraulics on trying to put the roof in the open position while the tonneau was manually raised:
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Now that the top is down the roof is in the reset position. I suggest opening the pump valve (CCW) for 30 minutes for the pressure to drop then pushing the tonneau down as far as possible over the folded top.
Then close the pump valve (CW). Now start the engine and see if the top closes normally.
If the top pauses after the tonneau cover opens, continue holding the button for up to a minute and see if it eventually starts moving. If there is a long pause until the top starts moving after the tonneau opens it means the window reset still has not 'taken' and you need to keep trying window resets.
As kj07xl stated, make sure there is no luggage separator warning, and also make sure the boot is fully shut.

I'm not convinced the luggage separator has the magnetic piece in place, since both sides look the same to me. I had let the missus take it out for a shopping trip, which was the last time I saw the roof working, and wonder if I'd moved the luggage separator for that trip.
WhiteXKR - thanks for your help across all the threads with the roof issues! I will try the half hour pressure release if my luggage separator magnetic piece is missing. Whatcha reckon guys?
left hand side of luggage separator, in the deployed position
right hand side of luggage separator, in the deployed position
left hand side of luggage separator, slightly out of deployed position
right hand side of luggage separator, slightly out of deployed position

After waiting to let the pressure drain, I closed the valve clockwise until the allen key wouldnt move. Started the engine, and did the window reset 3x each side since I had pulled and replaced the F8 fuse.
Still no luck... when I press the top to open button (get it stowed in the back), the engine revs do drop between some hearing some switching sounds, telling me that power is being drawn...

You really should get an SDD scanner on the vehicle and see if any faults are logged in the system to get a clue where to look. My guess is a broken wire or faulty microswitch. It is actually a pretty reliable system, so there are not any common faults I have seen repeatedly.

Thanks WhiteXKR -- are there any SDD scanners you would recommend for this? I've been looking at them and not seen a mention of the roof, so wanted to make sure the appropriate module would get scanned.
I also noticed multiple places where wires under the tonneau are zip tied together, and have worn on the wire sheathing in some spots. Is that how it comes from the factory or has mine been worked on and put back together?

As for the module, I meant which diagnostic module is the roof operation contained in a scanning tool?

That is my assumption as I don't have a working one to look at Perhaps I'm missing something you're seeing though!
