Oh so simple, I have been bothered by this soft thump for over a year. Whenever the car would go over an undulation, at speed or a choppy road (with top up) I would hear it. I was certain it was either the front hooks not pulling the top tight enough or some worn roller pins etc.
Well…there are two small round rubber ‘snubbers’, one on each side that had, over time flattened on one side. The repair, simply rotate the rubber @ 180 degrees, that’s it!
