Convertible Top issue
Hi and Apologies if this question has been listed before. The XKR has been down to the garage today to have some bushes changed on the rear suspension. Apparently they parked the top in the half open position to access the rear shocks and after the work had been done the hood has sunk to the nearly closed position, they had also had the battery disconnected so on startup the hood wont work and the car was 'upset'.
So the car is currently.
1. Hood closed and latched. (mechanically via the manual latching assembly.
2. Windows and Handbrake reset. Car drives ok.
3. Side windows down, won't work.
4. No movement from the hood just a message saying Convertible roof not latched though mechanically it is... I think.
Any ideas how I get the roof reset?
The boot stowage curtain is in the correct position so no issues there.
Many Thanks
Ian

Steve will probably show up soon to talk, he's the Top Guru.
Until then, you need to do a couple Manual Top Resets. I do believe the procedure is in the Owner Manual.
Also CHARGE THE BATTERY. Dollars-to-donuts the techs drained it at least a good bit.
Another Also... Reset the Window Travel. Up and down, both windows.
You can use the SEARCH THIS FORUM feature in the first page of this X150 Forum, it sometimes works well. Lots of info on this topic.

Ok so I've had a further play with it and opened the pressure relief valve on the pump and I can manipulate the hood around. With the rear hatch open and the hood in the centre position the pump will run when I press the hood open button, but nothing moves. If I press the close side the hood hatch closes but doesn't latch and that's all it does. Somehow it's out of sequence.

See this old thread from 2014, and read it from beginning to end before doing anything.

Pay particular attention to the posts by WhiteXKR - that's Steve, the Jag Wrangler, who is the Forum Guru on all things involving the convertible top (hood). Follow his advice and tips about how to reset your top.
Good luck!
