Convertible top issues.
Hey I just replaced my battery in my 2010 xk convertible, and the top isn't working , any ideas of what my be the problem, just to let you know when I was changing that heavy damn battery, I noticed there was a wire that wasn't connected to anything I think,, but it is brown with a white connector, look to see if I knocked it loose when t was removing the battery but I don't see any place it would plug into.. Need some help before my wife kills me. For ruining her car.

First make sure your trunk is closed, which is necessary for the top to operate.
Then make sure you do not have a message on the display saying that the luggage separator is not deployed. If you do, set it properly in position.
If it is none of the above, try this procedure:
--Turn ON the engine, the doors are closed and, and the convertible roof is closed.
--Fully close the driver's window, then release the switch. Again pull the switch to close the window and just hold for two seconds.
--Open the driver's window fully and release the switch. Again press the switch to open the window and just hold for two seconds.
--Fully close the passenger's window, then release the switch. Again pull the switch to close the window and just hold for two seconds.
--Open the passenger's window fully and release the switch. Again press the switch to open the window and just hold for two seconds.
Then try the top again.
If still no luck, pull F8 in the fusebox between the seats for a few seconds, plug it back in, perform the above procedure again and try the top again.
If it still does not work use the manual reset procedure in the owner's manual as a last resort.
