With either car, don't forget to factor speeding tickets in the cost of ownership.

It's enough to just keep it running and reliable, going beyond that with it is too adventurous for me. Why didn't Aston put spacers on it then?

Great looking car with the wheels right where they are. I would agree though that many cars can look a little sportier or more aggressive with wheels bumped out a bit (if that's the look you're after), but that often amplifies the fender gap which then leads to needing to lower the car. That would surely be the case with the Vantage, as it is with the XK, IMO. Modifying can be a slippery slope, and thorough research is important.
