Coupe rear window tray package wont stay on
This only pertains to coupes, the rear window shade [Jaguar calls it tray package] fell out and I can't get it to stay back in. When I put it back in, the next time I open and close the boot it just flops down again. Upon close inspection the 4 pegs look fine as well as the tray itself. Each time I put it back it, I make sure I hear a proper click on each peg to ensure they are in tight...and still it falls out. Thoughts? Or does anybody have a substitute peg idea that will actually work?

I wound up making two thin plastic squares out of an a wood shim, drilled a hole in the middle of each one, then wedged them between the plastic housing and the trunk lid. Next, I removed the original top section expanding plugs [left the bottom ones alone] and simply used screws to screw them right into my wedges. Tight fit and never falling down again. Took me all of 10 minutes to get this done.

Here ya go.
Step 1. Make I" x 1" widget [a wood shim works great]
Step2. Insert widget between plastic frame and boot lid
Step3. Remove original rubber washer from latch [optional step]
Step 4 Put original rubber washer around screw [optional step]
Step 5. Screw the screw [not too tight...just snug]
Step 6. Admire your work
