CTEK 3300 and mus 4.3 power outage question
Hi all, I own 3 CTEK battery maintainers. 2 CTEK 3300s and 1 MUS 4.3. I keep one 3300 on my 2010 Jaguar XK constantly as it is very rarely driven. Here in Florida we get constant power outages. I have 2 questions....1) When there is a power outage and the CTEK is plugged into the wall outlet, is there a back current drain (drain off of car battery) and is it significant? 2) When the power resumes, does the setting on the 3300 and/or the MUS 4.3 go back to where it was (example: car or motorcycle), or does it go back to the first power setting (power button)? Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. PS...I tried contacting CTEK, but of course as with most things during our crisis, there is no one to talk to, as I left a message.

There is no need to touch the unit through intermittent power outages. They are "set and forget" units and there is no danger to the battery or any electronic component in the cars.
Every time that the unit is disconnected, either at the wall power ("mains") or at the snap connector, the CTEK unit goes through its programme starting at stage 1. The only variable is the time it takes to get to the green light, full charge state, and that depends entirely on the state of charge of the battery when power is restored. It can be as little as 10 minutes or several hours in my experience.

1) there is virtually no drain 2) the CTEK units revert to the initial settings, that is, the entire charging cycle starts over again - because a power cut is essentially identical to unplugging the unit and plugging it in again.
