I have yet to sit in an F-Pace, I-Pace or E-Pace but I would hope there is adequate cup holders in those models if they want to compete in the family SUV market! I don't use cup holders unless it's a long trip.
My wife uses them daily in the XK. Her Contigo spill proof (but not drip proof!!!) coffee container fits perfectly.

How U.S. car design came to include cup holders.

Perhaps the novelty of inadequate cup holders in European cars can be used to an advantage of pointing to passengers that there is no place for their drinks.

Someone can come out with these, but all I asked for is a simple design for various size cups, haha... (by the way, these are the cup holders in an F-pace, notice the rubber inserts to hold various sizes)

Can we discuss this.
In our now vintage throwback Jaguars with fine burls- those things are as wrong as an uncut Rabbi from Saudi Arabia.
It looks like a cocktail lounge in there.

But I hear you. You can make that yourself with the following inserts and some led lighting.
Amazon Amazon
Just cut the bottom if you want the light.

BTW the Ftype which is 3 generations newer also has those inserts in the cup holder. So Jaguar has evolved and we should take it upon ourselves to do so if we are going to hold on to something from its distant memory- a time when folks bought cars for reasons other than cup holders.

The purchase of the XKR was far more than cup holders (the convertible was first and the R version was just a delighted bonus), but I started this thread to see if anyone else had the same thoughts. It makes for good discussion and great commentary. I will sort out something to suit my personal needs.

Default Amazing Gyroscopic Cupholder

THIS is a better mousetrap! Awesome design, but useless for me because I don't drink in my cars. It apparently will fit in the factory cupholder.

Default My Own Custom Cupholder

For all the reasons everyone mentioned on this and 3-4 other threads, I decided to design and 3d print my own cupholder!

Finished flocking, ready for action!

I did it in 3 pieces to avoid supports. I super-glued the pieces together with Qbond and then I flocked it.
This is my second version; the flocking looks far greater than vinyl wrap on the first plus I added the accessories at the bottom:
I created a plug to attach a flat mcdodo iphone cable, a tool for the torx drive to unscrew the transmission cover and an Apple AirTag sleeve. I added a Jaguar logo rubber coaster. You may add a metal one if you wish,
