So went and fitted paddles myself and i'm happy with the results. Bought these on eBay,
BMW SMG E46 2D M3 SHIFT PADDLE shifter paddles | eBay
So they say there for a BMW but didn't bother me. Took off the hinge bit first. They came in aluminium finish which i could have left, but got some carbon fiber vinyl which was a near 100% match of my car trim. Covered both sides of the paddles and it looked identical. Then i made a template of each paddle from cardboard and done some cutting to make fit. When happy put down template on each paddle and cut them to suit. Stuck the new paddles on top of old one with some teck 3 silicone and finished, working fine. Took a while to get cutting wright so paddles would still work. Anyone who has seen them comment straight away on how good they look, especially when they match the carbon inside trim, they look a bit brighter , but that's the camera flash, the old ones looked as they might have never been there.
Picture show stages and finish.

Finally after nearly a year, I have custom made carbon fiber paddles. Here is a pic prior to final coat of resin and polishing. When they are done, hopefully in the next few days, I will post pics of the final product.
I should note that this version is not an add-on, in completely replaces the small stock plastic paddles.

The paddles are done. Here are a couple of no so great pics, they look significantly better in person. They are currently installed but have not used them yet since the car is currently torn apart while I am doing some additional mods and customizations. I'll post pics of them installed when I get a minute. They are beautiful and functional and well worth it in my opinion, but they are hand made so there are some very minor slight variations.
Some members had expressed interest buying some. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will start putting a list together. They should be priced at no more than $400 a set including the Jaguar electronics for the paddles, you will keep your current ones for whatever you like. I am awaiting a price quote from a dealer for bulk order of OE paddles. If a large enough quantity of you decide to go in at once, say 10+, I may be able to get the price a little bit lower.

Gorgeous!
How do they feel? I've never had a control device made out of CF, so I'm curious whether they feel more substantial than the cheap hollow plastic junk that we have (stock).
I was thinking metal of some kind would be ideal (from a tactile perspective), but no question yours look fantastic and seem like they are the right size.
Very interested!

Thank you. They are completely rigid and with the larger size certainly more substantial. Paddles in general aren't for everyone but for improved functionality or looks these are the way to go no doubt. If you'd like a set, PM me. Thanks!

Thank you. Not certain if I can get different colored carbon but I will check for you. You could alway coat/paint them. To keep costs down I need to try to make these as consistent from set to set as possible.
