Default Cutouts for XK

I would like to install electric cutouts on my 2011 XK Coupe. I not looking for the performance but for the growl just for fun. Love to hear the pos and cons from fellow members. Also, suggestions on which ones to purchase. FYI - retired 73 year old eho thinks like an 11 year old 😄😎😄.

It wouldn't be a growl, it'd be a tinny, irritating cacophony. If that's the goal, go for it.

Pros: It has a switch and you can adjust it from all the way closed to all the way open and anything in between. Because it is adjustable, I usually opened it up just 1/2 way to give it a nice tone without droning. Cheap. Super loud. Fun. Not tinny as mentioned above as you are basically running straight pipes when wide open. Wife won't even know it's there when closed.

Cons: When I had cutouts on my Lexus with it all the way closed there was always just a little bit of a exhaust leak sound. Nothing major but it was there.

Here is what I installed....another brand may eliminate that exhaust leak I mentioned above.

Listen to this video on a computer with decent speakers and preferably a subwoofer. Video:

You only live once, go for it!
