Default Dallas Owners - Attention!

Hey my Dallas Peeps,

I just moved back from Austin and just bought an 11' XKR from Jag Plano. One of the things I've learned is that all service advisors are NOT equal. Some really bend over backwards to get things covered and even to pick good techs that will help for aftermarket or mods. I plan to mount springs soon for example...

Is there a favored service advisor that I want to work with at Jag Plano?

I've always worked with Bob Lynn. He's been there before Park Place bought it. I just got an XKR and haven't taken it there yet but he serviced my S-Type and XJR when I had them.

Went to meet /see Bob today to make him my service advisor and ask about cost to install springs. Mentioned some guys on the board recommended him. He said they don't install them. Said there could be warranty issues. I told him I've never had warranty issues with springs on my BMW's and Porsches. He said he would check and get back to me.

He also mentioned the last time they did something about they did it on someone's and didn't go so well but they gave no specifics and sounded a bit contrived. Sounds like none of you have actually used Jag Plan to actually do some aftermarket stuff.

When I mentioned exhaust he said he would do that. I was thinking of asking these guys to sponsor some meets and support us enthusiasts more. Based upon today I wonder if they would have any interest...

Evoking,

How was your experience at Park Place Plano? Anyone use Park Place Dallas?

I just bought my '09 XKR from an individual with 1 year left on the CPO warranty, and I need to get a few things addressed. Looking for the best place to go, and who to speak with. I'll even go to Autobahn in Ft. Worth if I need to.

Thanks for the help! Cheers.

Default Bob is the guy but Park Place leaves me less than impressed

I took my XKR up there to get some Key FOB's programmed. No one seemed in a hurry to help me. I did not get to see Bob as he was out that day, the other guy could barely appear to get up half an effort to care what I needed. I asked him to check on my VIN for history with Jaguar and if any of the recalls had been performed but never got an answer from him before I left. They claimed they could only program 1 of the 2 and still charged me $135. I would look around for an independent around Dallas as Park Place is the only game in town and they know it as well as act like it.

Default Re Park Place Plano

Went there last month to get spare key cut. Parts Dept cut key for free.
However the coding of chip was $135.00 .
Any one know a locksmith in Dallas area that can do this for less.
Also purchased new remote key fob but cannot get a signal from it even with new batteries.
All numbers match

This was the very reason I made my first visit to them. I had purchased 2 OEM FOB's from eBay, great deal $99, they came in OEM packaging and all. I took them in there to get the blank cut and FOB programmed to the car. The service advisor says to me "Only Jaguar can cut the key" which I found odd but did the programming anyway of which they took 45min to do and then told me only 1 FOB could be made to work. Funny they could cut the blank for you but not me.
