Dash Camera

Dash Camera
Sometime ago there was a posting regarding dash cameras. I have searched the Forum and have been unable to find the thread. Specifically I am considering installing a dash cam since my XKR was hit by a LLOL (lying little old lady) about ten days ago. she veered into me on my driver's side and did several thousands dollars worth of damage to the left side of my vert. Now she is claiming that I veered into her.
At any rate I'm thinking of installing a dash cam with an extremely wide angle. Preferably one that mounts the rear view mirror and can be considered hidden. Is anybody aware of such a product? thanks in advance for any guidance.

There are some cameras from China that are designed for the X250 XF, with a plastic shroud that replaces the factory shroud around the mirror, so it's reasonably well hidden.
The part numbers for the factory shroud pieces in the XK are the same as the XF, so it should fit fine. I actually bought one of these cameras for my XKR, but haven't got around to fitting it yet, so I can't tell you how good they are...
I might pull my finger out and fit it tomorrow now that this has reminded me...

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles, i know damage feels like being violated! I installed cams in my vert a couple years back after a new vette ran a red and almost nailed me at a deserted intersection. I considered the one Cambo is going to install but opted instead for a voice activated Garmin. It is hardly noticable but works very well.....it also provides some traffic information/warning functions newer cars now have.
Just a thought for your search.

One for the XK here but not a fan of the look maybe because of my height. That area of the windshield blocked from view is problematic for me. The XF one might be better fit because it wraps around the mount post

You also take on a lot of other legal responsibilities should you need to use the cam video for any legal reasons.
Rule number one. Know and understand your state laws regarding dash cams. (this applies to any state in which you drive through, as laws will vary.)
Example: Here in the US there are many states that make recording inside conversations illegal unless you inform all parties that they are being recorded (falls on similar legalities as wiretapping or recording of phone calls).
Example: Deleting video when said video is called upon as incriminating evidence against you. (Note: Doing so allows a judge to inform the jury to assume missing video was done to hide guilt.)
Just an FYI
