I wonder if they just dont have a SDD, and they would need to use some other tech that doesnt work as well. You would think if they had functioning SDD updated to at least 2015 they could program any 2015 or older jag using that technology??... The instrument clusters are available online at jag parts stores new so....

As I mentioned above, main dealers now use Pathfinder which does not support the X150 platform. Also, cluster programming requires a live connection to JLR engineering so as to foil odometer hackers.

I see what you mean now. Indeed I doubt Hafren has a "live connection to JLR engineering" - Id highly doubt it What do you use the SDD for currently Hafren?

I am travelling in Britain right now and have, at best, sporadic internet access. So apologies but I'll respond to some of the questions when I return next week.

sounds good!! While there tell the Jag Engineers you need “live access” to fix all 2015 and older jags on the SDD!

As mentioned in other posts, it’s likely the dealer has disposed of their SDD equipment and probably don’t have any technicians capable of using it. However SDD still works on our generation of X150s.

My original post, offering some help if your cluster totally fails, was to generally say that as our vehicles get older then modules will eventually fail, but with the knowledge of fellow board members existing/salvaged modules can be utilized and or repaired.

Regarding your instrument cluster. SDD can configure a new or existing module. Whilst I have used SDD to configure an existing instrument cluster module I highly doubt that will solve your issue. Configuring a new cluster can be done but your mileage will be discrepant, only authorized dealers with JLR engineering involvement can transfer mileages to a new cluster.

Do you still have fault codes - if so let us know the DTC codes e.g. U0155

I've sent you a PM so we can discuss further.

Did they yank them out and throw them away?
Keep the 1997 Mac turned off, covered and at least 20' away from the car. Maybe contagious. Is it the iMac G3? Translucent color side and back? Am sure it chugs right along w/ old programs. Using to visit this forum?

it’s a PowerTower Pro 250Mhz 604e PPC. Built a week or so before Jobs ended the clone market. They went OOB shortly thereafter never to be seen again. Love that it still works….

no can’t find a browser that will work well with the system anymore…. Sucks
