You know little about the coyote ,with th 5.0/A10 they mph at the 1/4as high as tuned and pullied XKR,in actuality for the same money in mods($1300) the Mustang will be low 11s and still faster, keep in mind it is 300-400lbs lighter that alone is like an extra 30-40hp,and the 10 spd gearbox is worlds ahead of our lazy 6spd and this is coming from someone who races an XKR and use to race a Mustang :-)
Your right it is a different league but my 2011 XKR convertible was $107,000 10 years ago.. For that kind of money today you can get a new Shelby that will destroy a stock XKR in everything from track to drags..I bought mine last year because it was cheaper than a Mustang 5.0 convertible(even used they hold their value) but had the Mustang been cheaper with less miles I would have stayed with the Mustang.
XKR is amazing looking and driving car for 21k ,I am VERY happy with mine, but no where near nice enough for the 100k it originally cost..
:-)

When the X150 was designed 20 years ago and released a few years later, it had little competition in it’s class. Since then the market has changed, technology has changed and true high performance cars are all the rage. Even with time and inflation, better higher performance cars are available today for the same or less money than the X150 was when it was new. So it’s not really a fair comparison now is it?

Both are great cars but it comes down to personal preference and lieks.
