Default Defective Duckbill drain MY

I know the answer to my question can be found from searching the forum for 2 hours (the search engine is not the best); however, on the best of days it is pretty dull and dead in the XK150 section (unlike the old days). Also, I'd rather initiate a conversation, which more often than not provides additional information.

My question is: What manufacture years have the defective duck bill AC drain. My car is going it for a supercharger torsion isolator repair. While the supercharger is lifted off the engine I'm wondering if I should do a fix on the drain as preventative maintenance. What is the preferred fix (inserting a plastic tube, cutting it off, etc.)?

The 5.0 models (2010 onward) have the modified duckbill which means you "should be " immune to the problem.

IIRC, some of the early 5.0’s of the first model year (2010 here), had the old style duckbill, but DGL should be safe with his later model car.

kj07xk is correct. I have an early 2010 and it has the faulty drain, unfortunately. It's my understanding that the problem was corrected sometime during the 2010 production run. Any 2011 or newer should be immune to the issue, and the 2010's made later in the production run should be good, also.

I wish I had been aware of this before I bought mine...

It was changed from VIN B34500 according to the parts manual

@DGL If you don't like the site search engine just use google. Put 'site:' before the URL for the sub-forum then the words you are looking for.

The BB software mangles the URL when I try and put an example in so here is a picture instead:
