BigDHenderson's 8/19 post reports car running o.k. after fully charging battery overnight. Seems to me this is a clue as to the origin of his problem - electrical voltage. Jaguars electrical circuits are extremely sensitive to battery voltage. Batteries frequently last for many years - "lasting" meaning there is enough power to start the car. But, they do degrade with time; and sometimes do not provide enough power to run some circuits fully/adequately.

Battery was very first thing that was changed when this all started...in the parking lot at Target no less....Im confident in saying the culprit was a bad motor mount, engine runs smooth as can be now after replacing that.

Hate to rehash an old thread, BUT you sir are the winner! seen this 2x times now chasing a single (moving to other cyl misfires).

Summary,
IF YOU HAVE A RANDOM MISFIRE AND YOU HAVE DONE THE OBVIOUS STUFF, ODDS ARE ITS A MOTOR MOUNT.
