It's weird because I've never had any problem seeing any part of the dash. I don't know how NOT seeing it would be possible.

Good observation on the check engine light. In this situation I think it is normal as the engine was not running, I just pushed the "Start" button without pressing the brake, so as to liven up the instrument cluster. The temp is reading 18 centigrade on a cold not running engine. Mark

That's neat, can it connect to the OBD via Bluetooth? I was thinking about displaying the coolant temperature.

Hii John, connects to the OBD2 port via a cable that is completely out of sight. Takes a minute to instal. There may be units that can operate by wifi. I bought this one a year ago via aliexpress for about $30 Australian. Mark

Default Speedometer view ...

My view of it: Above 190km/h it's fine...

The Autotool X60 sounds like the solution

If you have an Android phone buy the Torque app. It will connect with our OBD reader via blue tooth and you can select almost any kind of readout you want on the Android phone. I have mine mounted through the CD play slot.

I ended up ordering the Autool X60 and it works well!. I temporarily installed it at the left corner near the point where the windhield meets the dash. One issue that I noticed with the device is the display is not readable when wearing sunglsess, but I removed the anti-glare film & rotated clockwise until it was visible.

Hii XKGlen, Thats great you found the Autool X60 useful. I was dubious about the effect of the adhesive bracket mount on leather covering the dashboard so mounted the unit on the rigid moulded plastic behind the steering wheel. Cheers Mark

Seeing this thread reappear reminded me that I meant to ask if you guys are getting confused with a different car because both my old '07 XKR and current '10 XKR just say CRUISE OVERRIDE if I use the accelerator when adaptive cruise is set, no current speed:

Does it not need an extra power supply?

Hii Jon, Power is supplied via the provided OBD2 cable and plug which is inserted into the OBD2 port in the car. Where I have the display head mounted, there is no visible cable. Regards Mark
