Do You Leave Your Key Fob In The Car?
As the title asks, do any of you leave your key in your car while parked in the garage overnight?
I ask because 50% of the time I get in only to remember I left my key on the wall hanger! I was told, sometime ago, that this can lead to a battery drain if the key is left in the car.
So, what is the best practice?

As to battery drain, Vince is most likely correct. I always lock my 2012 XJL when parked in the garage. Usually no issues with the battery even if the car is NOT started for up to a month. A while ago I forgot to lock the car and after only 2 weeks I had a low battery warning when I got into the car. Of course, the XJL uses a whole lot more battery power for its auxiliary components than the XK(R).

Remove the plastic cover on the door handle and use the actual key from the other remote to unlock the car.
