I think I saw the carbon fiber cover at a ~2k option on the XJR, I'll run through the vehicle configuration again and verify it but a part number would
be nice.

Its a 2k option on the 2014 XK, still looking for a part number.

Far be it for me to criticize anyone else's decisions on how to spend their own money, but if I spent $2k on an engine cover, my wife would declare me certifiable and she'd be absolutely correct.

LOL I was in no way spending 2k on an engine cover. If it doesn't functionally improve the car I have no interest. If I find one for say 500 and I'm bored thats another story.

OK>..The idea of the carbon fiber material is to make it lighter.......this cover is just cosmetic. Just remove it. Other ways to spend $2k...

I'm left with only brake mods, corner weighting/alignment, and maybe the rear spoiler and diffuser.. Then its time to find my race car for the season, but that its a nice cover lol

If your looking for a race car to drive on the track....consider a Formula F1000.

I can guarantee that you will be hooked forever.

The part number for a carbon fibre cover for an XKR is C2P25291 (from VIN B52041).

Based on that math, my wife is the carbon fiber engine hood equivalent.

I'll get my coat.

Canada has their own environmental fictionists.

David Suzuki and the new BS mouthpiece, Neil Young, the singer/songwriter and now environmental expert.
