He is giving those who want to go on that trip again a rare opportunity to go back in time.....only this time with the best XK ever, for the same price as my standard XKR.
It's a bargain. Some folks don't want a car someone else's bum has seasoned.

Am I the only one who never saw that gunk on her shoe?
The only way you could see that gunk was after you enlarged that picture for a closer look!

As an XK owner I too would love to see strong prices on a car that for the most part depreciates at a faster rate than many other manufacturers. However.....Am I missing something? Other than these “50” being the last of the XKs ...Why are the asking prices so high? Are they actually selling? Or getting anything close to these prices?

Apparently the Final Fifty are selling at quite a premium over a non-FF. Of all the cars I have posted only the one listed at almost double ($199,950) the MSRP is still for sale. And even the 51 mile car that was listed at over $108,000 has disappeared and can be assumed as sold at close to that amount.

I for one will not pass judgement. If someone wants something badly enough, and there are only a limited number of that something, then the price becomes less important.
Just look at the 1962-64 Ferrari 250 GTO. Is $45,000,000.00 a "fair" price for this car? (Used with many miles on it!)
And what of art? The Mona Lisa? Or for that matter a "painting" titled "Voice of Fire"? What would you pay for this...?

But most unlikely because, its not hard to find 50 people around the world crazy about XK. Outside of that there are tons of collectors who store just about any car, as a roll of the dice, you never know what becomes worth a fortune.
Who would have thunk 92 Iroc would fetch $60k, if they had they would have never been sold for as little as $500 at the low point.
Yeah showroom condition is the key.
These investors get a two-fer deal, potential of profit and conversation piece while they have it in their museum.
Check out this collection of has-been junks, many you may have never heard of.
