They had the car for sale for the last 6-7 years. They'll have it another 60 years before they sell it at that price. Jaguar Seattle actually bought my old 2013 XKR from a guy in Vancouver I sold it to 5 years.

Hi,

I have a XK-RS GT specific question, so I thought I would ask it here

Is anybody able to confirm if the separate hand / park brake caliper itself is mechanical and actuated via motor and cable like the rest of the XK's or does it have an electrical TRW motor like the F-type?

Details on the park brake caliper are very scarce.

thanks

I can't specifically answer your question but have you seen the parts pictures?

The instructions for releasing the parking brake on the GT are the same as on the XK so I assume there is a remote motor similar to the XK though.

Thank you. You certainly have confirmed, I couldn't find this anywhere. so my next question is can anyone confirm the part numbers for the park brake caliper for both sides?

Take it to CarMax. They'll give you a written offer to buy it based on their database. That's a wholesale price for your geographical area. They would retail it for 15 - 20% more.

Remember that time is money, and they want to sell it fast. That's why their offer probably will be less than you expect. But you can use their offer as a basis to set your asking price.

Car max is a good idea. The only change I’ll offer is figure their offer is closer to 40% less than retail. At least in my area that’s what they offer. I was buying a new car from a dealer with wholesale pricing (factory sponsored pricing) and had a wholesale trade in offer on my trade.
As it was a car that I had to wait for, I took my trade to several different places for them to price. Car max was the lowest offer by a solid 20%. Maybe my trade was one that didn’t fit their retail vision, I don’t know.

The post just above yours shows a convertible that sold within a few days of listing it, only a month ago. Asking was ~$62,900. I assume they got at least $60K for it as it sold so quickly.

On a side note, I read a comment that a member of the BaT community was going to list his coupe there shortly.

Oh yay... hold on to a car for an investment then sell it for less than you paid for it six years later, plus the loss on 2015 dollar vs 2021 dollar. Add in storage and it's quite a loss.

Some investments turn out better than others, timing is everything...

Cars as an investment over enjoyment is not a game I willingly play. If it works out, great, if not, hope you enjoyed it!
