Is this how the ZF transmission works. Pretty interesting and entertaining.

Sounds like lectures I received from a number of my University Professors, hell-bent on impressing themselves with their self-perceived brilliance at the expenses of the totally blown-away student audiences.

These days the tables are turned; I am the one teaching Engineers but, still have to deal with some students that make the most absurd assertions with utmost confidence and straight faces. Sometimes so absurd that it makes me wonder if they are testing me, trying to get me to agree with the absurd :-).

Now that all of you have a firm grasp on mechanical theory behind the ZF box let's move on to the finer points of electrical theory behind our Jaguars. Once this video class is completed you can send off for your EE degree diploma and of course a small fee to me for shipping & handling.

Aw, c'mon ... of course they're right ... they googled it just before their attempt to score points.

Just like they will during exams.

"Reciprocation Dinglearm" is now my standard answer when attempting to discuss anything mechanical. Yep, love throwing that reciprocation dinglearm around.

Now there must be something on exhaust systems we could all learn from.
