Door lock

From the 2009 manual, I would think 2010 is the same :
One press: Locks all doors, luggage compartment and sets the alarm system. The direction indicators will flash once (in certain markets an audible warning will be emitted).
Two presses (within three seconds of first press): Double-locks all doors and sets the alarm system to provide the highest level of security - use whenever possible.
The direction indicators will flash once for lock and an additional long flash for double-lock. In certain markets, two warning tones will indicate that the doors are doubled-locked.
Note: The interior door handles are immobilised
I believe the double lock also shuts down all the modules quicker than the single lock (6 minutes as opposed to 30 IIRC)
I have read some people on here leave the doors unlocked if they are garaging the car over the winter with a CTEK connected.

DOUBLE LOCKED is not a thing in the USA, but it is in the UK where the interior door handles are locked. In the US, the interior locked is disabled for safety reasons.
The second press of the LOCK in the US merely signals that the vehicle is indeed locked. It's an audible assurance, which I use if I didn't hear the solenoids thunk. Most every car sold nowadays does the same thing........ single press locks the vehicle, second press merely beeps for verification.

Horn definitely works. I had the same with my motorbike, as it is commonly sold in the USA I discovered it could have an audible alert when the alarm was armed but according to the manual it was disabled in some markets - namely the UK. In that instance it was a combination of button presses on the fob to get into the dealer menu and enable the alert.

Tried this test, no sound was heard. So either a duff sounder or a feature which needs to be enabled. Santa will be bringing me a DA Dongle so I don't have too long to find out which....
