I had an annoying rattle in my passenger door as well. It turned out to be from the bottom left corner of the door panel [below the speaker area]. I was able to fully open the door and tap it with my hand. Tap tap tap. I was able to squeeze a sponge between the door panel and the door itself and the rattle was gone forever.

Default wonder if its a wheel bearing?

Well it came back...I do feel as if there is increased resonance somewhere in the car when slowing down... the mettalic rattle about the right side glovebox will oscillate with the stopping of the car and that resonance. The car has to be in motion or no rattle. Maybe its a wheel bearing starting to go bad?!? Im at 31,400 miles.

thats the data we needed. wheel bearing test, take weight off the wheel, by turning. a long curve in the road is what you need. Could also be brakes.

My gut feeling is:

1- wheel bearing starting to go..
2- brakes
3- internal faulty spring in my glovebox which allows the thing to flop straight open without any resistance.

OR..combination! Faulty spring now resonating due to increased car resonance associated with bad bearing OR brakes.

Precisely, ignore location of symptom and symptom- both can be a red herring and frustrating.

Fixing the spring should be a fairly easy thing to do (mine arrived broken, and I fixed it by following another thread on this forum). You'll then have a proper working glovebox and remove it's possible vibration from the equation.

That...is EXACTLY RIGHT. Im gonna get that done first and after that its time to look at breaks and wheel bearings if it still there. Gonna take the glovebox apart and driver around to see if its reproduced and see what I can touch inside there to stop it???
