Default Dorman Rear Lower Control Arms--Don't Fit!

Hey everyone just wanted to give a quick heads up that if your looking to replace the rear lower control arms don't use the Dorman brand as the bushing they use for the part that connects to the wheel hub is 5mm too large and thus won't fit. However when I ordered them from Rockauto they didn't indicate this and said the control arms would fit so ended up having to return them and get ones from Mevotech. This is for my 2007 Jaguar XKR.

When I owned an X100 I had something similar happen. I ordered some aftermarket bushings than needed to be pressed into the A arms. Or maybe it was a different suspension piece, it's been a while. In any case. They were slightly too big. I ended up ruining a ten ton press trying to press them in. I actually put the bushings in the freezer and the arms in the oven in an attempt to get them in. It didn't work.

Yes I mentioned that in Post #25 here:

Im surprised they are still selling them for the XKR knowing that people have returned them.

I had good luck with the Mevotech rear end parts. They have over 3000 miles on them so far - no complaints.
