Sounds right, but I haven't had to do mine again. One thing - if you follow the directions, they will tell you to do the procedure with the engine off; I have found that is not always accurate; if I'm remembering, I tried it once their way with no success, and redid it with the engine running and the calibration completed successfully. You'll know it working because the seat moves through the full range of motion
I did the seat recalibration with ignition off then on
Might try it again with engine running

So my own observations using the NT530:
1. Very easy to use
2. Setup out of the box is very easy, follow the instructions. I purchased the NT530 from a re-seller who advertised the unit as a "NT530 JLR" but this is not true as you need to install the JLR software onto a micro SD card (which is provided with the NT530 unit together a usb micro sd card reader).
3. Once setup is complete, plug NT530 in & it auto picks up your vehicle details. makes sure both seats are forward as far as possible. You need to do this as when you run the NT530 seat recalibration, the NT530 will move the seat back & the back rest will also move as far forward as it can (I made the mistake of running the NT530 as is and my seats went back but could not go as far back as the NT530 wants them to before it send the back seat forward (I hope that makes sense)).
Finally hat tip to Joe7Bros - Thank you Sir!!!

Yes, have done this with Ap200, ridiculously capable unit for the price. I also bought an SDD system as well just to be done with it

from memory, once the NT530 picks up your car details, you will need to select "special function" & then modules. From here scroll down the module list until you see "seats" and there are two reset/recalibration options. One for the driver & one for the passenger seats.

Might be an idea to hook the NT530 to your laptop & check with Foxwell auto assist that JLR software is up to date. Then again the NT530 did pick up your car details so that would suggest software is ok
Am travelling at the moment ( Easter bank holiday here in UK) but will check the steps to get to seats recalibration & post it

Alas you have to activate the NT530 & install the JLR software using Foxwell auto assist.

Can my Icarsoft i930 Pro be used to recalibrate the seats? My driver seat won’t recline the way it used to after my battery died. It’s set at about 100-110 degrees. Could use that extra 10-20 degree recline for extra comfort.
Even if not to recalibrate, can it be used to move the seat and then I can I set my memory?

If it does, there should be a specific routine defined in the i930. It may be part of a specific jlr software package on that unit. If it does not, for about $70 you can get the Autel ap200, which will pair with your smartphone and definitely does have the routine. Make sure you specify the jlr software package when you order the AP200..
