Drivers Side Mirror Doesn't Dip

I have to believe that there is a setting for this problem. When I shift to reverse, the passenger mirror dips, however, the drivers side does not. This is a new development, as in the past both mirrors dipped in concert.
I can't recall making any recent adjustments, for that matter, I cant honestly tell you what I had for breakfast!
If there are any pearls of wisdom out there, please share. If not, it's off to the dealer with my Select Edition Warranty in hand.
Thanks in advance...

Had to admit I missed it (the auto dip) from my Lexus, as I actually used it backing out every day lest I drop my drivers rear tire into a foot deep gutter backing from the driveway.
Still pressing/holding buttons, but at least they go to preset positions so I don't have to think too much about it but to hold it down.
That has me with a follow up question:
I have to actually "hold" the button to get the system to adjust the seat memory. This is sometimes 5 or more seconds for all the things to complete, whereas the Lexus was "press and release" and it just moved the stuff about for you. Is that normal to have to continuously press the button for the adjustments to fully complete?

As to the drivers mirror dip, there was a sequence one could use on my 02 XKR to get the mirror to dip. Seems like it was pressing the drivers mirror selector and the down direction of the button (not sure about which buttons) used to move the mirror. Once released the mirror returned to its original position. Maybe these cars have similar functionality?
