Default Driving and daydream

Once again the brain went into fantasy mode while on a drive today. Just as a little background I have done 3 Jaguar/Chev. conversions back in my youth so the wheels are always turning. I'm driving down near Westchester county NY. and I pass by a new F-type R AWD. So I think to myself baring cost I wonder how difficult it would be to transplant the F-type engine and AWD system into an XKR. I haven't seen the underpinnings of the F-type so I'm not familiar with the suspension and drive train set up. Also a major issue would be the electronics. But as we all know nothing is impossible with money so would anyone want to do this. Just dreaming out loud.

An AWD XKR is indeed an interesting proposition. I bet it will be offered on the next gen XK, whenever that is. Retrofitting it on ours, while it may be possible would be pretty cost prohibitive I'm sure. But hey, if you're gonna dream, dream big!
