Emergency/Parking brake

I suppose it might wear the mechanism faster than someone who only uses it at the end of each journey, but I doubt it's an issue.
I don't use the EPB while driving, because I use my left foot for braking, so I have no problem holding the car on the brake until I apply power. Haven't tried any handbrake slides yet....

Weirdly, since I drove mostly manual cars for many years, it's actually not difficult to switch back - there's a sort-of muscle memory that connects use of the gear lever with standing on the clutch. As long as I'm not stirring a stick, my foot stays in brake mode, but as soon as I'm back in a manual, it switches to clutch operation.
The thing I find hardest: the switch of wiper & indicator stalks to the opposite sides (turn indicator on left in Europe, on right in Australasia). Drives me bonkers every time I go to NZ - then I get used to it after a week, and I have the same problem when I come back to the UK. Can't recall where they are on US cars.
